Been spending the past couple of days just enjoying some ME time, : ) yoga, walking the dogs, chatting on the phone, long lunches, and soaking in the 80 degree weather here in LA! Went to happy hour with my friend L at a wine bar in Pasadena called Noir...very cute and quaint, will definitely be going back. They had an amazing burrata salad, yummmm....

I am also preparing and collecting pieces for a styling project, and got to try out the new Giles and Brother Nara bracelet in silver....and I luuuuv it. Sort of reminds me of fish scales. It's a wide cuff-like bracelet, with a brushed silver finish, and the closure link is in gun metail with pave rhinestones, such a perfect detail. It also comes in a gold finish and a black finish. Sticking to my usual black today, but mixed it up with plaid and stripes. : ) I'm also so happy with my Zara boots now. When I first got them, the heels were so high that they were so painful to walk in, but I endured it anyways because I love the boots! But it was just too much for me, so I took them to a shoe repair guy in Los Feliz, and he trimmed about 2-3 cm off of the heel, and it worked wonders!! The boots are totally wearable now. So happy! : )

Spent a beautiful Sunday in Los Feliz a couple of weeks ago with my dear friend Adriana. I saw this image while browsing through Refinery29 and it really made me want to hone my skills of bracelet/cuff stacking. I've always found it challenging for me because I feel like it would just be so overdone. But the way this girl pulled it together is pretty impressive. It's the right balance of colors, styles and materials, and you'll notice that her outfit is a nice neutral pallette which keeps the stacking the highlight! I was so excited to be in NYC this year for Fashion's Night Out - where it all started!!! I was so proud and excited to be apart of the launch of the Muppets x Opening Ceremony collection launch. Their Brazilian carnival theme was so fun, but the highlight of the evening were the appearances by the ultimate fashion diva herself, Miss Piggy!! Check out some of my snaps from the night. So I'll admit that I browse Ann Taylor everyone in a while because they have come a long way in terms of their style and trends. I do have to say their shoes and accessories have gotten my attention lately, there are pieces that I would actually purchase. One of them is this structured cross body Lady Bag in Red Maple. So continuing with the animal print buzz, I recently purchased these GAP 1969 jeggings, which have a fantastic subtle/faded cheetah print on them. I ended up going with this pair because I was lusting after the Current Elliott "Stiletto" jeggings with a leopard print, but I just can't justify spending $200 for jeans. So I haven't purchased anything from the GAP in a long time just because they haven't been on their game. But their line of 1969 premium denim is actually pretty great. Here's a very blurry shot of me and my fabulous friend L at our NYE party. I love how my kiddie's JT and Roxie are in the background, especially JT who is striking a pose for the camera! :) So of course, black is my favorite color, and L and I were definitely supporting it! I'm wearing a Martin & Osa cowl neck tunic, Zara fau leather panel leggings and D&G strappy heels (wish you could see my heels!). L is wearing an H&M lace button down shirt and these amazing over the knee boots that she found for a great deal at Ann Taylor Loft. No joke, The Loft has been putting out some pretty cool items.

Thanks to my girl J, I got an invite to the opening party for Sanrio's 50th Anniversary!! It was all the cuteness of Hello Kitty and her friends jam packed into Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. There was yummy food from Kogi, Grilled Cheese Truck, Yogurtland, Beard Papa's, plus makeovers by Sephora with the new Hello Kitty collection, a fantasic art gallery featuring artists like Kukula (my favorite!) and a pop up shop filled with exclusive merchandise (dangerous!). There were even some star sightings at the event, with Kimora Lee Simmons, Ashley Simpson, Pete Wentz, and Tarina Tarantino making appearances. Check out my pics below!!

They have really stepped up the style factor (the fact that Heidi Klum is the new model helps too), and I would definitely wear some of these pieces! I'm loving the lace booties and platform booties. I'm obsessed with nail polish and absolutely love trying all different kinds. So that's why I'm totally psyched about this new OPI Black Shatter top coat polish. Once it starts drying, it reveals this crackled effect. This particular color is actually part of the new collaboration Katy Perry is doing with OPI. Her collection also includes gorgeous glittery colors. I'll definitely be buying this shatter topcoat to try it out when it releases in January! Purchased this ridiculous bracelet on the street in the meatpacking district in NYC during my last visit. Reminded me of Alexander McQueen so I had to have it!! I'm loving my new MAC Villains makeup!! I can't believe some of the items are already sold out!! My favorite so far is the Innocence, Beware! Creme Sheen lipstick. It goes on so smooth and the color is so pretty.
